Common Services
This is not a complete list of everything we offer, but it covers many of the common reasons pets visit our clinic.
Wellness and Preventative Care
Regular wellness care helps us catch problems early, keep vaccines current, and give you guidance before small concerns become bigger ones.
- General Wellness Exams
- Vaccinations
- Pre-Surgical exams
Learn More: Wellness Care
Preventative care is one of the best ways to help your pet stay healthy throughout every stage of life. During wellness visits, we can check your pet’s overall condition, discuss any changes you have noticed at home, review vaccines, talk about parasite prevention, and recommend testing based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and health history.
We offer vaccines from Boehringer Ingelheim, a trusted veterinary vaccine manufacturer known for strong product support and vaccine guarantees when used with qualifying preventatives. Our team can help explain which vaccines and preventatives are recommended for your pet based on their lifestyle and risk factors.
Wellness visits are also a good time to ask questions about weight, diet, behavior, mobility, dental health, or anything that seems different. Even when your pet appears healthy, regular exams can help us catch small changes earlier and create a plan before they become larger concerns.
Pre-surgical exams are another important part of preventative care. Before surgery, we check your pet’s overall health, look for any concerns that could affect anesthesia or recovery, answer your questions, and provide a detailed estimate so you know what to expect before the procedure.
Sick & Injured Pet Care
When something seems wrong, we are here to help figure out what is going on and what options are available.
- Sick Pet Exams
- Injured Pet Exams
- Urgent Concerns
Learn More: Sick & Injured Pets
When your pet is sick, hurt, or just not acting like themselves, it can be stressful trying to decide what to do next. Sick and injured pet visits allow our team to examine your pet, talk through the symptoms you are seeing at home, and recommend the next steps based on what we find during the exam.
These visits may be helpful for concerns such as vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, limping, wounds, ear problems, eye issues, changes in appetite, urinary problems, pain, swelling, or unusual behavior. Depending on your pet’s condition, we may recommend diagnostic testing such as bloodwork, urinalysis, X-rays, or other in-house testing to help us better understand what is going on.
Our goal is to explain what we are seeing, review your treatment options, and help you make informed decisions about your pet’s care. When a condition is urgent or may require more advanced treatment, we will let you know and help guide you toward the safest option for your pet.
Because sick and injured pets may need timely care, please call the clinic directly if you are concerned your pet needs to be seen soon. If your pet is having a serious emergency after hours, please visit our After-Hours Care page for local emergency options.
Surgery
Our clinic performs a variety of surgical procedures for dogs and cats. Before any procedure, we will review your pet’s needs, discuss the expected plan, and answer your questions.
- Spays and Neuters
- Lump removals
- Ear hematoma repair
- Cherry eye surgery
Learn More: Surgery
Surgery can feel stressful, and we understand that you may have questions before deciding what is best for your pet. Our clinic performs a variety of surgical procedures for dogs and cats, including spays, neuters, lump removals, ear hematoma repairs, cherry eye surgery, and other select procedures based on your pet’s needs.
Before surgery, we will review your pet’s health, discuss the recommended procedure, answer your questions, and provide a detailed estimate so you know what to expect. Depending on your pet’s age, medical history, and the type of surgery being performed, we may recommend pre-anesthetic bloodwork or other testing to help evaluate your pet before anesthesia.
Our team focuses on keeping your pet as safe and comfortable as possible before, during, and after their procedure. We will explain drop-off instructions, recovery expectations, medications, activity restrictions, and any follow-up care that may be needed at home.
Because every pet and procedure is different, surgical recommendations and estimates may vary. Our goal is to help you understand the plan clearly and feel confident about the next step in your pet’s care.
Dental Care
Dental disease is very common in dogs and cats and can cause pain, infection, bad breath, tooth loss, and other health concerns.
- Dental cleanings
- Dental extractions
- Oral Health evaluations
- Dental disease treatment plans
Learn More: Dental Care
Dental health is an important part of your pet’s overall comfort and quality of life. Dental disease is very common in dogs and cats, and it can lead to bad breath, painful chewing, loose teeth, infection, gum disease, and other health concerns if left untreated.
During an oral health evaluation, we can look for visible signs of dental disease and talk with you about what level of care may be needed. In many cases, a professional dental cleaning is recommended to remove tartar, clean below the gumline, polish the teeth, and allow a more complete evaluation of your pet’s mouth while they are safely under anesthesia.
Sometimes, teeth are too damaged, loose, painful, or infected to remain in place. When dental extractions are needed, our team will explain what we find, why removal is recommended, and what to expect during recovery.
Because every pet’s mouth is different, dental recommendations can vary. Our goal is to help you understand your pet’s dental health, provide a detailed estimate when dental care is recommended, and create a treatment plan focused on comfort, safety, and long-term oral health.
Diagnostics & Treatment Support
When an exam alone does not give enough answers, diagnostic testing can help us better understand your pet’s condition.
- Digital X-rays
- In-house laboratory
- Fluid administration
Learn More: Diagnostics
Sometimes an exam gives us a good starting point, but additional testing is needed to better understand what is happening with your pet. Diagnostic testing can help us look beyond what can be seen or felt during the physical exam and may give us important information about illness, injury, organ function, infection, inflammation, or other health concerns.
Our clinic offers digital X-rays and in-house laboratory testing to help evaluate many common medical concerns. X-rays may be recommended for limping, injuries, coughing, breathing concerns, abdominal problems, bladder stones, certain masses, or surgical planning. In-house lab testing may include bloodwork, urinalysis, or other tests that help us make more informed treatment recommendations.
Treatment support may also include fluid administration, medications, monitoring, or follow-up care depending on your pet’s condition. These services are often used when a pet is sick, dehydrated, recovering from illness, or needs additional support while we work through a diagnosis.
Our goal is to explain what each test or treatment is looking for, why it may be recommended, and how the results may help guide your pet’s care. When possible, we will review options and provide estimates so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
Comfort, Mobility & Technical Services
Some visits are focused on comfort, quality of life, mobility, grooming-related needs, or minor technical procedures.
- Laser Therapy
- Nail trims
- Shavedowns
Learn More: Technical Services
Not every visit is for an illness or major procedure. Some pets need services that support comfort, mobility, hygiene, or ongoing quality of life. These visits can be especially helpful for senior pets, pets with arthritis, pets recovering from injury, or pets who need assistance with routine care that may be difficult to manage at home.
Our clinic offers services such as laser therapy, nail trims, shavedowns, fluid administration when appropriate, and other technical treatments based on your pet’s needs. Laser therapy may be recommended as part of a care plan for discomfort, inflammation, healing, arthritis, or mobility concerns. Nail trims and shavedowns may seem simple, but they can make a big difference for pets who are uncomfortable, matted, overgrown, or having trouble moving normally.
Some pets need extra patience, restraint, or medical judgment during these services, especially if they are painful, anxious, elderly, or have underlying health concerns. Our team will do our best to keep your pet safe and comfortable while explaining what is recommended and why.
Because these services vary depending on your pet’s condition, we may recommend an exam before certain treatments can be performed. Our goal is to help improve your pet’s comfort, support their mobility, and make routine care as stress-free as possible.
