Moraine Grove Veterinary Clinic is an independently owned small-animal practice in Butler, Pennsylvania.

We believe good veterinary medicine depends on more than equipment and treatment plans. It depends on experienced people who trust one another, communicate well, and are given the opportunity to use the skills they have developed.

Experienced support for our veterinarians

Our doctors are not expected to do everything themselves.

Veterinarians perform the examination, document important physical-exam findings, make medical decisions, and develop the treatment plan.

Our veterinary technicians and support team handle much of the remaining workflow, including:

• Gathering and documenting patient history
• Entering visit information into the practice management system
• Performing appropriate diagnostics and treatments
• Preparing medications and discharge instructions
• Communicating routine instructions to clients
• Handling most routine follow-up calls
• Managing technician appointments independently when appropriate

Our goal is simple: veterinarians should be able to spend their time being veterinarians.

Veterinary technicians are part of the medical team

Experienced veterinary technicians at Moraine Grove are encouraged to use the skills they have worked hard to develop.

Depending on training and experience, responsibilities may include:

• Dental prophylaxis
• Laser therapy treatments
• Laboratory procedures
• Patient treatments and monitoring
• Technician appointments scheduled independently of the veterinarian appointment schedule
• Client education and follow-up communication

We value technicians who can think, communicate, take ownership of their work, and contribute meaningfully to patient care.

Work-life balance that means something

Veterinary medicine can be demanding. We believe a career in veterinary medicine should still leave room for a life outside the hospital.

For our associate veterinarians, scheduling is designed around meaningful time away from work, including an average workweek of approximately 32 hours, at least three days off each week, no Sundays, no on-call nights, and regularly scheduled stretches of consecutive days off.

Associate Veterinarian

We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team.

This position is designed for a veterinarian who values clinical autonomy, experienced support staff, teamwork, and meaningful time away from work.

Veterinary Technicians

We are always interested in hearing from experienced veterinary technicians who want to work in a practice where technicians have meaningful clinical responsibilities and are treated as an important part of the medical team.

Even when we do not have a publicly posted opening, experienced veterinary professionals are welcome to introduce themselves.
